Annual Ottawa Area AMHL Fun Race, February 7th, 2010

This race is oriented towards amateurs and novices, If you have never tried racing before, this is your chance. Come on out and bring your dogs for a day of fun races and socializing. If you have an experienced team, come enjoy the trail and share your knowledge and experience. Dogs of all breeds are welcome to participate. Proceeds from this race are donated to the Alaskan Malamute Help League
The race classes offered will be:
* 1 and 2 dog Skijoring,
* 1 and 2 dog sled,
* 4-dog sled

There will be a non-competetive open trail run after the awards ceremony   All the race classes will be held on approximately 6-8km of wooded trail with lots of curves.

Volunteer opportunities: Anyone wishing to help out this year, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Heather Adeney, by going to www.skidogs.ca and click on the link titled "Contact skidogs.ca" to send an e-mail. Opportunities include: Site set up/take down, manning the food table (no need to handle $), Trail help, Timers and start line helpers, Parking, and more. No experience necessary!
