Call for Nominations to the Board of Directors

The Nominations Committee of the Alaskan Malamute Help League is seeking nominations (including self-nominations) for individuals to serve on the Board of Directors. We are seeking men and women who are experienced, passionate, committed and skilled individuals to lead the Alaskan Malamute Help League into the future. AMHL Treasurer
The AMHL Treasurer is an officer of the AMHL and a member of the Board. This means that the Treasurer is responsible to the members (as with every Board member) and to the funders for the funds received and spent by the AMHL. The Treasurer cannot be paid.

Job Description
Purpose:
To manage and report on the association's finances.

Responsibilities:
1. Carries out the responsibilities of a member of the Board of Directors of the AMHL.
2. Monitors the financial position of the AMHL.
4. Ensures the Board's financial policies are being followed.
5. Reports to the Board of Directors and general membership on finances.
6. Prepares any required financial reporting forms.
7. Maintains all bank accounts and financial transactions of the AMHL.
9. Signing authority on all cheques of the organization.

Additional Board Positions

To ensure continued excellence in organizational governance the nominations committee of the Alaskan Malamute Help League is accepting applications of interest from individuals with Board governance and administrative experience to fill one or more Board positions.

To meet key priorities and goals of the organization we are seeking to fill these positions with individuals who possess the following interests and skills:
1. Media communication/public relations expertise.
2. Strong interest in canine health & wellness.
3. Program development, recruitment and coordination skills.

Board positions are for two year terms and incumbents may be re-elected. Members of the Board of Directors are responsible for the over all direction of the organisation and leading the Alaskan Malamute Help League's projects and programmes. In order to be eligible for a seat on the board, a candidate must be a member in good standing of the Alaskan Malamute Help League. The nominee need not be a member at the time of nomination.
