Moses Moses is looking for a forever home after being picked up as a stray. An AMHL volunteer has assessed him as very energetic and strong Malamute/Shepherd mix with a silky black and tan coat. He is estimated at about 2 years old. This beautiful boy is very approachable, wagged his tail at ear and back scratches. His new home will need to be patient and work with him as he hasn't had much training, so an experienced owner is necessary. While in the shelter lobby, Moses was most intrigued by the bunnies, so one would assume he has the normal Malamute prey drive, a home with no small animals would be recommended. Moses was a smiley and happy boy while chasing his ball in the play yard and accepted treats very gently. No aggression was shown during the assessment, however during his shelter stay he has had a run in with another male dog, but it seems to be an isolated incident. It is hoped that with a home environment it is Moses will gain the confidence, guidance and stability that he needs to settle in with his new family. Moses is not recommend for a home with small children - teens 16 yrs of age and older would be more appropriate. If you have a corner of your heart where Moses can chase a ball and grow with confidence, he will love you with exuberance and sloppy kisses. Moses is currently up for adoption at the Kingston Humane Society, please contact them for more information at adoptions@kingstonhumanesociety.ca or 613-546-1291 . |

All contractual obligations concerning this dog will be between the shelter and the adopter.
Given that it is impossible to predict with complete accuracy how any dog will react in a given situation, without completeknowledge of its life experiences, the AMHL urges the adopter to exercise caution in introducing the dog tonew situations until the dog has become fully adjusted to its new environment and the adopter has had an opportunity to become familiar with the dog's unique personality. |
