Bear is a gorgeous, happy, 12 month old, Malamute mix that will be a big boy as he is presently 75lbs. He is a very "happy go lucky" boy, who loves belly rubs, kisses and  treats. Bear has recently been neutered and micro chipped.

Bear is in need of a new forever home because his present owner's circumstances have changed and they no longer have the time to take care of him.

Bear enjoys playing with other dogs of all sizes and ages, at the local dog park and usually comes when called. He enjoys meeting people and other dogs while on walks. Bear has also lived with cats.

Bear walks well with a halti, and just loves his walks, and he especially likes his runs when his owner is able to take him.

Bear loves his treats and takes them very gently. He knows "Sit" and "Down" for treats.  Bear also knows when there are no more treats in your pocket. Bear is crate trained.

He just loves people and enjoys them coming to visit. He tries so very hard to wait for them to take their coats off, but remember he's only 1 year old and his excitement is sometimes too much, but he is gentle when saying "hi".

If you can find it in your heart to give Bear a new loving, forever home, please fill out an application at:

Given that it is impossible to predict with complete accuracy how any dog will react in a given situation, without completeknowledge of its life experiences, the AMHL urges the adopter to exercise caution in introducing the dog tonew situations until the dog has become fully adjusted to its new environment and the adopter has had an opportunity to become familiar with the dog's unique personality.
