Shelby is a very pretty Alaskan Malamute that needs a new home due to a change in her family. She is spayed, 5 years old, weighs 80 lbs and is in the prime of her life. Shelby has been living with a male malamute. She can be aggressive with other dogs, so a home as an only dog may be the best for her. Due to her high prey drive, a home without small animals is a must. A securely fenced in yard is also needed. This girl is very active, so would enjoy lots of long walks and runs to use up her abundant energy. She is house-trained, crate trained and lives as an indoor/outdoor dog. Shelby loves all people. She is very attentive and a strong pack leader who gives her boundaries, positive training and exercise will receive a great companion. Her owner describes her personality as being "a ham who loves to chatter at you". She is always up for a walk and once she knows you are awake in the morning.........it is time to go. If you can give Shelby a home, contact Diana at galenuit@telus.net Please fill out an adoption application form at: http://www.malamuterescue.com/rescuedb/app/adoptapp.php |

Given that it is impossible to predict with complete accuracy how any dog will react in a given situation, without completeknowledge of its life experiences, the AMHL urges the adopter to exercise caution in introducing the dog tonew situations until the dog has become fully adjusted to its new environment and the adopter has had an opportunity to become familiar with the dog's unique personality. |
